Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Shieldwall Games website, the Mimir application, and any related services. By using our website or products, you agree to these terms.

Mimir is currently in development. The public subscription checkout, final hosted-service retention rules, and any additional consumer information required at launch will be published before paid subscriptions are opened.

Use of this website

You may browse this website freely. You agree not to misuse it by interfering with its normal operation, attempting to access it through automated means at unreasonable scale, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images, logos, artwork, and design, is the property of Shieldwall Games Ltd unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

The names "Shieldwall Games", "Mimir", and "Ashborn" are trademarks of Shieldwall Games Ltd.

Your content

You retain ownership of the worlds, writing, files, artwork, and other content you create or import into Mimir. Using Mimir does not transfer ownership of that content to Shieldwall Games.

Local Mimir worlds are stored on your own device. If you deliberately use an online feature, such as Mimir AI, collaboration, or hosted worlds, you authorise the processing needed to provide that feature. See our privacy policy for more detail.

Email addresses

When you submit your email address through one of our signup forms, you consent to receiving product updates related to the list you joined. You can unsubscribe at any time. See our privacy policy for details on how we handle your information.

Mimir subscriptions

Mimir's planned V1 subscriptions are Mimir Core, Apprentice, Worldsmith, and Loremaster. Current planned prices and entitlements are shown on the Mimir pricing page.

Cancel anytime. You can cancel a Mimir paid subscription at any time. Unless a statutory cancellation right or refund applies sooner, cancellation ends renewal and access to the paid subscription continues until the end of the paid billing period.

No local content lockout. Your local Mimir files remain yours if you cancel or downgrade. A lower tier may prevent you from running premium creation, AI, collaboration, or hosted operations, but Shieldwall does not delete or encrypt your local world because a subscription ends.

Hosted resources after downgrade. Hosted data above the allowance of a new lower tier will follow a published grace, read-only, archive, or export process rather than being silently deleted. The exact hosted-retention schedule will be published before hosted subscriptions open.

Mimir AI credits. Subscription AI credits are a recurring allowance and reset each billing month. Separately purchased top-up credits do not expire under the planned V1 model and remain on the account after a subscription downgrade or cancellation. Shieldwall may adjust pre-launch allowance sizes while beta testing is still underway.

Refunds and cancellation rights. Any voluntary Shieldwall refund policy applies in addition to, not instead of, your statutory consumer rights. The checkout flow will provide the legally required pre-contract, cancellation, and digital supply information applicable when paid subscriptions launch.

Pricing changes

Shieldwall may change pricing or plan allowances in the future. We will provide any notice required by law and will tell subscribers clearly when a change applies to them. Changes made while Mimir is still in beta will be identified as pre-launch changes before paid checkout opens.

Ashborn CCG

Ashborn CCG is currently in development. All pricing shown on this website, including the approximate launch price of ~£30, is subject to change before the product is released. Pre-order and early access details will be announced separately.

Availability and changes

Mimir and this website are actively developed. We may improve, replace, or retire features over time. We will not use a feature change as a mechanism to take ownership of, delete, or prevent export of a user's local world files.

Limitation of liability

This website and our products are provided "as is". While we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy and reliability, we do not guarantee that the website or service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shieldwall Games Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or products.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law. If these terms conflict with a mandatory consumer protection that applies to you, the mandatory protection takes precedence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page and provide any additional notice required by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections or jurisdictional rights that apply to a consumer in their place of residence.
