Mimir is new software and not yet widely downloaded, so your browser may show a warning. This is normal.

- A blue "Windows protected your PC" box may appear. Click More info, then Run anyway.
- Mimir installs by itself and opens when it is ready.
First launch

Back up your worlds
Your worlds are plain files in the folder you chose when you created them. Copy that folder somewhere safe now and then. That is all you need to do.
Updates
Mimir checks for updates when it starts and then every hour, and downloads them in the background. When one is ready, a notification tells you it will install when you next close Mimir. Choose Restart now to update straight away, or carry on and it installs when you next close Mimir.
